Croeso/Welcome Warbow Wales is the home of the Welsh medieval longbow. We shoot the bow of Medieval Wales in historical archery events. Shoots are free and open to all competent longbow archers.
The Welsh Warbow
The Standard Arrow
With respect to the work of Hugh Soar and the late Chris Boyton in reintroducing flight shooting with military arrows, Warbow Wales will record the Standard Arrow. This is an inclusive event to increase participation in strong shooting. The arrow may be shot from any longbow, laminated or otherwise as per the rules of the long-time custodians, the BL-BS.
Minimum weight 52 grams, 31 1/2" from the valley of the the nock to the arrowhead shoulder, minimum shaft diameter of 3/8". The shaft may be parallel or bobtailed in construction.
